Marvin, did you delete the data or is the drive faulty? If it is a faulty drive, try putting the drive in a sealed plastic bag and leave in the freezer for a few hours (or overnight).

Sometimes you can get around 30 mins or so use out of the drive (until it warms up again). I've had success recovering data using this method.

i do have a folder called c:\Docs
so is that space over written.
any one had the same problem.
