Hi Bill and all,

The email exchanges copied below provide an example of a case in which 48000 Hz sampling fails to work, and we can't blame it on Vista.

N4AU is using Win/XP and a SignaLink interface. When he put

[Tune]
Audio\DisableInputResampling=true

into his wsjtx.ini file, his setup started working.

We might think about adding an option for 12000 or 48000 Hz input sampling on the configuration screen. Possibly for both input and output?

FYI: I'll be away and out of email contact from tomorrow through October 18.

That did it Joe! Many thanks for the great programs. I wish more would use
WSJTX. PSK Reporter shows about 80% still using JT65hf.

Thanks and 73,
Bobby

OK Bobby. I guess I misunderstood what you meant by "3556 works very
well".

You can force r3590 to sample at 12000 Hz (as done in r3556) by putting
the following two lines at the end of your file wsjtx.ini:

[Tune]
Audio\DisableInputResampling=true

You can do this by using Windows Notepad to open wsjtx.ini (in your WSJT-X
installation directory). Then copy-and-paste the two lines into the file,
and save the file.

OK Joe. Neither decodes in 3556. I think it is the Signalink, but it
does operate at 48000 in some other modes. The screen capture shows both
waves in the waterfall display.

Joe, 3590 will decode the samples (JT9 mode only if in JT9 for the

might
be the Signalink Audio CODEC. I see you changed the sample rate to
48000
in the newer version. I have captured my screen and included a couple
of
my wav files. It's no big deal since 3556 works very well. Clock is
always ok (use ntp).

You say revision 3556 works very well. Could you send me a screen shot
of decodes from either one of the wav fkiles you sent me, using r3556 ?
Thanks!

Hi Joe and all,
I have nice traces in v3587 and 3590 but NO decodes. I am running XP (3) and
signalink with Kenwood TS570 and v 3556 works fine. Any suggestions?

Bobby/N4AU
