Hi Joe & Flam,

this is due to a defect in the Qt framework. I fixed it some time ago and it was inserted into the forthcoming Qt 5.1.2 patch release.

Unfortunately the QtProject team has decided to discard the 5.1.2 patch release in favour of protecting the Qt 5.2 update release schedule.

This means that we will have to wait a little longer for this upstream defect repair to be available in an official Qt release.

The current schedule for Qt 5.2 release is 3rd Dec 2013 (http://qt-project.org/wiki/Qt-5.2-release).

Subject: WSJT-X v1.2.1 r3590 - TX Sound setting jumps to 50% all the time

Hi

I just installed the newest version of WSJT-X v2.1.1 (beta)
I like very much the new palette options btw :=)

Im using Windows 7 with a dedicated sound card for digital modes. The TX
Sound setting is playing me a trick or two with the new settings in WSJT-X.

No matter how I set the volume level in the windows volume mixer it keeps
jumping to 50% of the max setting.
I figured out that much that WSJT-X resets my setting at the start of every
TX.

Is it possible to change this behavior ?

Since I have many digimodes programs that can use the sound card, I use the
master volume (speakers) to adjust the general setting to the radio, and
just sets the individual program to the maximum volume (in windows 7 the
max volume is indicated with a vertical line, and the individual volume
controls stick to that line)

I have enclosed a screen dump of my setting in "Volume Mixer" -that
illustrates the problem (WSJT-X has to low mic setting).
PS: The PWR level in WSJT-X is set to maximum with this screendump
