Hi Chuck,

It seems that you intended your message to go to wsjt-devel, not just me. So I'm responding here.

I now have machines ready covering Ubuntu 12.0.4.2., Xubuntu 12.04, Windows

IC-7000 to test rig CAT and PTT on. My next planned step is to go through
fresh installs on each with the latest wsjt-x manual and published code for
each platform. This includes using/testing the windows install link just
published by Joe.

Great! These are good plans, will be very useful.

Also, I have started browsing the Berlios Developer site and am
familiarizing my self with the WSJT project and the SVN directories
pertinent to wsjt-x

... some of which can surely be improved. We have tended just to use the repository -- and *not* to use many potentially useful features of the site.

I expect this will lead to notes on proposed edits for various sections.
Some will probably find their way into the FAQ which I am officially
volunteering to produce. I have an interest in at least helping or taking
the lead on documentation for JT Alert. I do not have Commander or HRD
installed but might eventually if requested. I have a Ten-Tec 516 and an
IC-7000 to test rig CAT on.

RRR on FAQ and JT-Alert!

All the above includes checking the list of installed and runtime files,
upadating 10.1 and 10.2., testing all published links, and testing steps in
the Tutorial

OK here, too.

That list should keep me busy for a while. Feel free to adjust this list or
request help with more urgent topics as they come up; I'm still very much
feeling my way along with the tools and getting up to speed on how things
are done.

Looking forward to your contributions, which will be much appreciated!
