After some discussiion with Greg, I have made (and committed) some changes to organization of our documentation on compiling instructions. There is now just one top-level file, dev-guide-main.adoc. It has an "Overview" and a section on getting Source Code. Then it includes files wsjt-dev.adoc, wsjtx-dev.adoc, map65-dev.adoc, etc., as required for the several programs. The file for each program may include instructions, dependencies, etc., for various platforms: Windows, Linux, OS X, FreeBSD, whatever.

Lots of stuff still needs to be filled in, but I think a usable framework is now in place.

The online User's Guide for WSJT-X now contains a link to the WSJT Developer's Guide, rather than a section on compiling. See
http://www.physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/K1JT/wsjtx-doc/wsjtx-main-toc2.html#COMPILING

The link to the Developer's Guide is

Please feel free to suggest (or make) improvements!
