When you say "not managed", do you mean you have tried and not been able to.
In theory, you are supposed to be able to do it, although I have not
needed to myself.

It might be worth moving to git when moving.
I have a project using git, and it is easily backed up.
I do a "git pull" from github, and a "git push" to sync it with
berlios and sf.net
So, my code is in 3 different places, in case any one goes down.
You can quite easily move from svn to git and keep all the history. I
did it moving from berlios to githib.
the use of git is much the same as svn, so there is not really much of
a leaning curve.
