OK, I would appreciate a test with split even if you don't intend to 
operate that way. I would like to find out what caused the issues you

OK, that is good news, at least it wasn't a serious issue with the rig 
or interface hardware. I do need you to run the Ft-817nd with the 
special tracing version of the wsjtx program I sent you since that had 
special test code in it to give me more information about the CAT 
conversations with that rig. If you can run that again for a short while 
and return the trace log to me, I would appreciate that too. Split 
operation with that rig needs testing also. As I have an FT-857D on loan 
at the moment I can do most development and testing for the 
FT-817/857/897 series on that due to the almost identical CAT protocols 
of those rigs.
