Good day all,
I finally managed to compile wspr 4.0 r4185 on Linux Mint 17 Mate this
past weekend. It is nice to have wspr working again on a linux box after
much fussing with some of the available .deb files which didn't work out
well for me.
So far so good. Next major step will be to compile wsjt on this same
linux box and give some meteor scatter and other things a try.
In the meantime however, wspr is giving a small issue. At some period of
time (still haven't put on finger on how long), the app will fail and
close with this error: spawning new thread: Cannot allocate memory
Error starting rx thread 11
I am not sure if it is a compile issue, environment, or configuration issue.
the linux box is an older HP small form factor D530 (or something like
that) P4 3.2GHz with 4Gb ram and using the on board HDA Intel: ALC260
Analog sound card with lots of disc space.
Suggestions and pointers please.
I have been using *nix for quite some time but I am not a developer,
just an advanced user with still much to learn.
