It's not a matter of "working on" the matter you raise.

Many (dozens!) of different versions of WSJT-X, JT65-HF, and WSJT are in 
everyday use.  It should be obvious that changing the short-list of 
add-on prefixes and suffixes in a particular new version of one of these 
programs would then create a situation in which statopn "A" thinks he is 
sending some new add-on prefix (i.e., one not previously supported) but 
most everyone else decodes him as sending the prefix previously in that 
position in the list.

As described in the WSJT-X User Guide, "Type 2" compound callsigns allow 
use of any prefix.
