Hello All,
As we're nearing the time when Joe will be sending out a release
candidate for WSJT-X v1.4, it was time to update the SDK to build the RC
rather than just the HEAD branch.
If you do not build WSJT-X with the SDK, just delete this post.
Currently, JTSDK-QT builds whatever is in the HEAD branch. Bill has
added an wsjtx-1.4 RC branch to house the bug fixes and incremental
release candidates etc. As such, we needed to way to build the RC's with
the SDK. Whatever RC version is in branches/wsjtx-1.4 is what will be
built. Currently, that looks to be rc2.
Note: The output folder names will change if Joe or Bill change / add a
new brach name, something like wsjtx-1.4.1 for example.
UPDATES
* Added a dedicated scripts to build WSJT-X RC's
* Invocation is still through JTSDK-QT environment
* It only builds the Release targets ( rconfig, rinstall and package)
UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS:
Open, C:\jtsdk-doc\jtsdk-docenv.bat
Type, svn update
Type, update
Close, JTSDK-DOC
NEW BUILD INVOCATIONS ( for WSJT-X RC's Only )
Note: Building rinstall or package takes a while on Windows (several
minutes ), depending on your CPU speeds.
Open, C:\JTSDK-QT\jtsdk-qtenv.bat
* Configure .......: wsjtxrc rconfig
* Build Install ...: wsjtxrc rinstall
* Build Installer..: wsjtxrc package
Building the package does the configure and install. Likewise, rinstall
runs Configure first, there is no need to run them separately.
NEW OUTPUT FOLDERS:
C:\JTSDK-QT\wsjtx-1.4\{build,install,package}
TO RUN:
Browse to,: C:\JTSDK-QT\wsjtx-1.4\install\Release\bin
- Double-Click on wsjtx.exe
