Hi Jim,

Sorry you are having some issues with the WSJT-X v1.4.0-rc2 Beta release.

We are aware of some issues using DX LabSuite Commander as an
intermediary to a K3, I am working with Dave AA6YQ to try and resolve
these before we make another release candidate of v1.4.

I haven't fully investigated the issue with the K3 specifically as it
effects a number of rigs with "Kenwood like CAT protocols".

All I can offer at this moment is to set "Mode" to "None" in
"Settings->Radio", this will stop WSJT-X trying to set the rig mode and
simplifies the CAT exchange considerably. Obviously you will have to set
the rig mode appropriately before using WSJT-X. I am not sure if this
will help but it is worth trying, let me know how it goes please.

I will update you when we have more information or a fix.
