I assume you are using fairly recent version of the application since
you are asking on the development list. Since v1.4 you can start WSJT-X
with a '--rig-name=<name>' argument where name can be almost anything.
What that does is starts with a unique set of settings and other
writeable files including the logging. Although it is intended for
multiple instances running concurrently with multiple rigs, it is also
perfect for your situation.
You can continue to use the default instance and the XYL could start the
program like:
wsjtx --rig-name=xyl
and she will have her own personal settings and log files.
Any help would be appreciated.
