While doing a whole lot of testing of the new
builds, I also played around a bit with my Yaesu FT-817ND. I found that while it generally works, it insisted on setting the USB mode on a band change, thereby killing signals going to and from the ACC connector. On this particular radio you must select "Digi" mode (mode 26 set to "User-U") in order to use the ACC signal path. Whether this is true also for it's close relatives FT-857 and FT-897 I don't know. There is no such mode available on the somewhat older FT-847, which works just fine with USB mode selected. -- Vy 73 de OZ1PIF/5Q2M, Peter ****************************************** ** If it sounds too good to be true -- ** ** it is! ** ** If it sounds about right -- make ** ** sure you can afford to be wrong! ** ** ** ** -- Robert Heinlein: ** ** "Time enough for love" ** ****************************************** email: peter(no-spam filler)@frenning.dk http://www.frenning.dk/oz1pif.htm Ph. +45 4619 3239/ +45 2332 9464 Snailmail: Peter Frenning Ternevej 23 DK-4130 Viby Sj.
