As far as I can tell, the FT command is the only way
to set or query if the 991 is in split mode.

I might also mention that VFO B is not stored in memory locations.
Whoever made that decision was ignorant of satellite ops.

So far the "Yaesu FT-991 CAT operation Reference Book"
seems accurate if not clear.
