Common but not exclusive. Technically the only upper limit on JT65 is the passband of the receiver. It could be argued that those using software other then WSJT-X have no knowledge of JT9 or of any upper limit to JT65 operation.

It would be nice if all JT65 activity were below some agreed frequency as it does cause the JT9 decoder some difficulty, it may be that is the fault of the JT9 decoder rather than the JT65 only operator.

Another issue is that the separator is moveable.

I seem to see a few JT65's occurring in the +2kHz window which may be a mistake.

And I have, more than once, intended to do JT9 only to realize JT65 is selected a bit too late.
