Hello All, Thought I'd pass this along.
With *many thanks* to Michael ( KD4SGN ), I have a Raspberry Pi2 for testing applications builds. It's an ARMv7 Quad Core 1Ghz + 1GB Ram with HDMI + NIC built in. I used my Navigator Interface for initial testing. This evening, after a new install and dist-upgrade to Debian 8.0 ( Wheezy --> Jessie ) I installed JTSDK the same way I would for Ubuntu / Debian installs. *WSJT-X* I've not fully tested the GUI yet, but jt4code, jt9code, jt65code and kvasd ( all from command line ) seem to be working as expected. All of then JT*CODE binaries are rendering the test message OK ( CQ KI7MT DN46 ). KVASD returned the ** PASSED ** message and ldd ./kvasd was good. *Hamlib3* builds and dummy tests OK: Rig Control ......: OK Tested With ......: rigctl -m1 f Expected Result ..: 145000000 Returned Result ..: 145000000 NOTE: I would use the Debug build though, as the 1Ghz CPU takes a while to complete the static build. Load Averages were maxed at 4.5 or so for a while >= 10mins :-) *WSPR* WSPR builds ok, but I need to create a work-around for the Pillow 2.6.1 issue, which should not be too difficult. WSPR seems to run fine with later versions of Pillow ( 2.7.x, 2.8.x ), using pip3 to install ( on Ubuntu / Mint / Debian proper ) WSPR0 and FMT tools seem to be working, though I just briefly tested them. I did not test WSPR_NoGui.py as it needs a bit of tidy up work. The Pillow issue is only a problem for formal packaging, JTSDK will at least provide a means in which to compile and run the Python based apps ( WSJT and WSPR ) without too much fuss. *WSPR-X* I don't have WSPR-X builds enabled in the JTSDK build menu, as there is still an issue with portaudio headers & libs but I think there is a solution for it which can be added to the CMakeLists.txt file. *WSJT* Initially, I got an unsupported OS message, but after a tweak or two I got it to build OK. I've not done much testing after that. When time allows, I'll post Rpi2 build instructions and further work the WSJT build configuration issue. That's all for now, when I do a bit more testing will post the results, hopefully, we'll be able to run the Big (3) *WSJT WSJT-X WSPR* on the Rpi2 :-) 73's Greg, KI7MT ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ BPM Camp - Free Virtual Workshop May 6th at 10am PDT/1PM EDT Develop your own process in accordance with the BPMN 2 standard Learn Process modeling best practices with Bonita BPM through live exercises http://www.bonitasoft.com/be-part-of-it/events/bpm-camp-virtual- event?utm_ source=Sourceforge_BPM_Camp_5_6_15&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=VA_SF _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
