Hi Josh,

FT-950, controlled via CAT for both frequency and PTT.
Never any issues controlling the rig from wsjt-x before recent releases, or
with fldigi and xmlrpc scripts.

Tx Pct ranging from 20% - 33%.

The error dialog says "Rig Control Error", with no further details.
Again, this only happens while wspr-hopping, never while changing
bands in jt65/jt9.
The rig control error message box without a "Show Details ..." button should only appear when the Settings dialog is open. Are you sure there is no "Show Details ..." button on the message box that pops up?

And somehow, "Tx Enable" is getting un-set at times even without
an error dialog.
Joe K1JT and other have reported the same, we are yet to determine the cause of that.

Being a Linux/Unix kinda-guy, I have a terminal running
on the side with a "tail -f ALL_WSPR.txt", so I can see
all the logging.

If you build a version with the following CMake option settings:

WSJT_QDEBUG_TO_FILE=ON
WSJT_TRACE_CAT=ON
WSJT_TRACE_CAT_POLLS=ON
WSJT_HAMLIB_TRACE=ON
WSJT_HAMLIB_VERBOSE_TRACE=ON

if it is a release configuration build then you will also need:

WSJT_QDEBUG_IN_RELEASE=ON

Then run the application for a period covering the defects and quit.

The file /tmp/WSJT-X_trace.log will contain the trace info, send it to me for analysis please.
