I found this behavior in WSJTX 1.5.0. If I have it in Monitor mode and exit the program without first turning off Monitor, it seems to not properly close the soundcard device. If I then try to run some program like 'arecord' to record audio from that device, I get a "device busy" error.
However, if I disable Monitor mode and THEN exit, an 'arecord' works fine. In my case the audio device is a SignaLink USB, accessed through ALSA. By the way, how do people deal with the slight defect in the SignaLink -USB that puts a faint tone on the input audio every 1kHz? Just tweak the radio VFO a bit to slide everything over if the tone is in the way? -Paul KB1EHD
