Hi Bill,
Hi Claude,
What directory contains the symlink to cty.dat?
It's in the working directory. I'm still using ~/.wsjtx/bin/ here. As
mentioned, the error is sporadic.
To override the cty.dat file built into WSJT-X you must put the
replacement into the application data directory, for Linux that is:
~/.local/share/WSJT-X/
for the default instance of WSJT-X or:
"~/.local/share/WSJT-X - <rig-name>/"
for other instances of WSJT-X.
So you need to make your symlink like:
ln -s <your-big-cty.dat-file-path> ~/.local/share/WSJT-X/cty.dat
Another sporadic error occurs when switching to WSPR-2. Sometimes there
is only one sub-window in the upper part of the main window, sometimes
there are two adjacent windows as in the JT65 mode. The right one
remains blank.
There were/are a few issues with changing the main window layout when
changing modes related to the use of DXCC entity lookups, Joe recently
applied a fix, is this still happening in the latest revision?
