We have to be careful about what you are actually seeing here.
WSJT-X writes a .WAV file for every decode period but it may subsequently delete it if "Save->Save decoded" is set in the menu and there are no successful decodes or, "Save->None" is set in the menu. The deletion will happen 45s after the end of the decoding process.
