Running with the Rx slider near the bottom of its range strongly suggests that you have the RF gait set far too high. With its wideband decoding capability, WSJT-X expects a linear receiver. Translation from antenna input to audio output should amount to little more than a frequency down-conversion from RF (upper sideband) to audio. It's best to have AGC off, so that strong signals in the passband do not change the receiver's gain as they fade or turn On/Off. With WSJT-X's Rx audio slider at mid-scale, back down on your receiver's RF gain control until the "thermometer" indicator indicates around 30 dB with few signals (or only weak signals) present. -- 73, Joe, K1JT ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
