although the Microsoft nannying of hiding folders and files is annoying, there is no need to change the default hidden folders to access the application data folders. Using the environment variables %TEMP% and %LOCALAPPDATA% is allowed in all places including the start menu, Windows 8 and later start screen, Windows File Explorer and all other folder and file browsing applications even when the parent folders are hidden. Perhaps a note about adding a short cut to the application data folder in the Desktop folder or other convenient location for those that need to access the application data folder regularly. A recipe for creating a short cut might be: Use "Menu->File->Open log directory" to open Windows File Explorer at the application data folder, click the up arrow icon left of address entry bar to navigate to the parent folder then Alt+Drag the highlighted application data folder on to the Desktop folder in the left hand tree view to create a short cut there. Hint: if you get it wrong then Ctrl+Z will undo the last action. 73 Bill G4WJS. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
