Hi Joe

Some more comments/suggestions below for the user guide.

Charlie

4.2 Force Control Lines: ..... sure they are needed ..add: (for example to
power the radio serial interface)

8.1. VHF Setup : section name could read 'VHF and Up Setup'

15 Protocol specifications - add section on JT4?

17 Utility programs - to run JT65code and others you need to change path
to \bin first eg C:\WSJTX\bin> jt9code "G0XYZ K1ABC FN42"
   Could mention JT4code.exe exists
Could mention existence and example of use of JT4sim.exe (I had never
tried it until now - nice utility!)

8.3 Echo mode

Add at end of section: If your echoes are weak, it may take some time for
the averaging process to display echoes that are visible on Echo Graph.
Be patient!
If your echoes are strong, fine structure caused by libration effects may
be visible on the first few echoes, which will in time average out.

9.1 Mention signal report range of JT4 (from less than -10 for strong EME
signals to about -18 or -19 at decode limit)
[reports under -10 will be unfamiliar to WSJT10 JT4 users]. If used for
tropo, JT4 signals can reach 0 or even positive numbers.

9.2 " It should be obvious that the JT9 and JT65 protocols....." add JT4

10.1 Widegraph

"(Linear Avg is not useful for JT9 or JT65; it is intended for use with
the yet-to-be implemented JT4 mode.)" remove 'yet-to-be'

Suggestion: Include a section on how to and advantage of running WSJT-X
from batch files, if intending to use several different modes.
