I played with this briefly and it really puts a damper on my own (current) only use of the tune button, which is to check power levels before starting a transmit cycle. With this patch I guess I'd have to just adjust it on the fly. It's not a huge loss, but it does make the button pretty much useless until I get an automatic tuner and thus am using it in the originally intended manner. Granted, the root cause for why I always have to tweak power levels is that my rig needs different input levels on every band to get the same power out. So really what would make me happy would be some way to program that curve into wsjtx so the attenuator levels can be left alone, in which case this patch wouldn't be an issue. I'll think about how to make a sensible feature out of that and report back later. I don't want to demand a checkbox or something, because I don't feel terribly strongly about it, just letting you know it's not a slam-dunk. -- michael, NF4E ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
