Hi Richard,

most cheap USB audio devices work well enough. They should support 48kHz 
sample rates for WSJT-X, stereo in and out is handy if you have two rigs 
or dual audio output from your rig but not essential. Many users use the 
cheapest they can find that meet the above basic specification from 
eBay/Amazon/choose you favourite electronic vendor. Pro audio devices 
with XLR connectors surround 24-bit and 192kHz bandwidth may give a 
slightly better noise floor but that matters little on HF or for scatter 
modes. Extra bandwidth or more than 16-bit sample size is not going to 
be used by WSJT or WSJT-X.

You should not need to spend more that $20.

Specialist rig interfaces than incorporate full galvanic isolation can 
be useful if you run QRO or use compromise aerials that can lead to 
unwanted RF in the shack.
