Hi Richard, most cheap USB audio devices work well enough. They should support 48kHz sample rates for WSJT-X, stereo in and out is handy if you have two rigs or dual audio output from your rig but not essential. Many users use the cheapest they can find that meet the above basic specification from eBay/Amazon/choose you favourite electronic vendor. Pro audio devices with XLR connectors surround 24-bit and 192kHz bandwidth may give a slightly better noise floor but that matters little on HF or for scatter modes. Extra bandwidth or more than 16-bit sample size is not going to be used by WSJT or WSJT-X. You should not need to spend more that $20. Specialist rig interfaces than incorporate full galvanic isolation can be useful if you run QRO or use compromise aerials that can lead to unwanted RF in the shack. 73 Bill G4WJS. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
