Hi Mike,

the n+100 indicates that the CTRL key was pressed to receivers of the 
signal. It is a bit of clunky way of passing an extra argument to the 
receiving slot but it achieves the intended aim. I agree that the use of 
the extra argument seems to have been lost although the F11 and F12 keys 
still recognize the CTRL modifier in a similar way.
