Hi Laurie,

Mike sent me a pre release v2.7.7 so I could replicate the issue, it turned out that WSJT-X crashed if the Message field (decoded text) of the UDP Reply message was empty. This happens when a non-general call alert is double clicked in JTAlert. I have changed WSJT-X to discard Reply UDP messages with empty Message fields in the same way it discards those that have a Message field that does not start with "CQ " or CQDX " or QRZ ", which was always the intention.

Hi Bill,

Some leftover code from when I was trying to limit the UDP Reply Command to WSJT-X acceptable CQ decodes. When I enabled the sending of the UDP Reply command regardless of the format of the decode message I missed a line of code in my logic resulting in the empty Message component of the UDP reply packet. BTW, this didn't affect the public 1.6 or 1.7 pre r6810 build WSJT-X releases.
