Hi Bill,

I found the answer to the issue, I was missing a package.
Turns out I was missing the libqt5multimedia5-plugins. Or at least 
installing it fixed the issue...

I believe JTSDK checked for libqt5multimedia, but maybe not for the 
plugins? At any rate, I've got it working now. It's odd that it worked 
with a pre-compiled version but not with the locally compiled one, I 
don't know anywhere near enough to attempt to explain that.

Pavucontrol was showing my sound cards normally, but wsjtx wasn't 
showing up in the applications list. That was one of the things leading 
me to believe it was an issue with connecting to the audio server.
