Hi Greg,

well after Windows 8.1 installed, I figured let me start from scratch as 
far as the JTSDK setup.  I uninstalled it, manually deleted what was 
left under that directory, and downloaded Omnirig, and all the JTSDK 
base & update installers.

Installed everything per the readme, built hamlib3, then build WSJTX 
with the rinstall option.   I had previously turned on autorun.    
Finished the compile & build, and WSJTX started up like a champ.

Not sure what I did wrong, or if I skipped a step while installing 
WSJTX, or perhaps an issue with Win 8.0, in any case. Its working now.
Sorry for the fuss, just wanted to check if I was the only one having 
this issue, thus eliminating anything else.
