Hello Bill-

Thanks for the reply.
I have the FLEX 6700 and run 8 instances most of the time.
The decoding process [8 instances] is a load for even the most powerful
CPUs.
Especially when every band has activity.
I have the i7 4790 4.0 GHz processor which does well but would like to
minimize processing where possible.
Have been using a RAM Disk to keep the I/O in memory.
When the decoding processes kicks off it does stall SmartSDR [for a second]
even when JT9.exe processes are at "Below Normal" Priority
and SSDR is "Above Normal" Priority. Maybe a user preference in config to
stop the saving?
Do you think eliminating the .WAV file would help at all?
I personally never use Alt + "V" feature.
Thanks for your thoughts.
