Hi
I gave up with the Odroid for weaksignal use, and replaced it with an Dell755,
for about $60
I'm getting a problem controlling the PTT from the serial port,
In settings I've selected rig = none and tried both DTR and RTS
and tried both the internal serial ports ttyS0 and ttyS4
I also tried plugging in a USB FTDI hub and still getting
"hamlib can not open PTT device /dev/ttyS0"
or what ever port I set it to :(
Also if I use the test ptt button I get a Hamlib I/O error and the lefthand box
goes red, nothing
happens to the righthand "testPTT" box , just get the Hamlib I/O error box come
up.

richard@G8JVM-OptiPlex-755 ~ $ dmesg |grep tty
[ 0.000000] console [tty0] enabled

[ 1.456442] 0000:00:03.3: ttyS4 at I/O 0xec98 (irq = 17, base_baud = 115200)

disconnected from ttyUSB0
[79794.844956] usb 4-2: FTDI USB Serial Device converter now attached to ttyUSB0

I've moved the FTDI hub around the available USB ports as can be seen above
RC 2 was working on the odroid SBC, I didn't test RC on it as it was going slow
I dont use a CAT interface on anything as all my rigs are homebrew

Any suggestions ? or is the PTT via serial port function being phased out as
most use shiney black
boxes that have CAT control ?
TIA
