I was getting several "Network Error - connection closed" messages when testing
the sample downloader with https very consistently.
This patch slows down the process of downloading the remote samples a bit which
so far I haven't been able to break again.
I have a fast internet connection -- perhaps those with slower connections may
need more of a delay.
