Setup: Windows 7 Professional
PC: 64 bit
Radio: Open HPSDR Hermes (***WSJT-X setup using Kenwood TS-2000***), radio
software is OpenHPSDR mrX PS v3.4.2, also, using VAC
Previous Version of WSJT-X: 1.7.0
The previous version worked fine in my station, although the audio slider
position was always near the bottom. I did have to lower the gain setting in
Hermes, but everything worked OK in other modes I operate including CW and
RTTY. I run JT-65 and JT-9 with fixed gain on Hermes set so that the Hermes
"Gain Line" is just below the noise level in the panoramic display.
Version 1.8.0 rc1 seems to have way too much audio and I cannot set the slider
to 30 dB. If I set Hermes for minimum gain, WSJT-X slider is green, but cannot
be set below about 45 dB.
I would like to request a selection for Hermes in the radio setup selection
box. Some info on Hermes is at: http://openhpsdr.org
