Sandro, Bill,

the WSJT-X program, when the dialog box Sandro referenced is displayed, can not communicate with the radio, but has no means of knowing *why* communication is not possible. There are various possibilities, and the dialog box accounts for pretty much all of them:

 * correct radio, but switched off
 * no connection to the radio (no cable, misconfiguration, equipment fault)
 * the connection to the radio has changed
 * correct radio, but the configuration has been changed on the radio
 * a different radio is now in use
 * the configuration file has been corrupted or mis-selected
 * several of the issues above
 * something we haven't thought of!

If the current configuration requires adjustment, that option is selected by clicking *OK*, which brings up the Settings→General tab. The *Settings→Radio* tab would be a more obvious/sensible selection, which I think is the point that Sandro was making. Selecting *Configurations**…* offers the ability to select a specific configuration if necessary. Selecting *Cancel* exits WSJT-X, which seems sensible.

In passing one notes that this dialog box is not noted in the user manual (v1.7.0).

Hi,

for a my error I notice that with a CAT error program go to select configuration, not to the radio CAT of current configuration.

Is it wanted ?

It is simple to simulate turning off radio.
