When I build a new version, I preset the old one to “default” configuration to 
help protect myself.  I have 12 configurations, and it irks me when, on rare 
occasions, a new version screws up all of my window size and placement 
settings.  I never use the default, so I change to that and then shut down 
before loading the newer version.  Then, I load the newer version and change to 
one of my preferred configs and all is well.  I’ve never lost size/location 
config doing it that way.  I’ve also forgotten to do that a few times and was 
alright some of them.  Now and then it changes everything (including levels on 
the WG/FG) and I hate starting from scratch on that stuff.
