Another thing I've noticed, is that disabling TX also disables the auto
sequence (perhaps also the signal report detection?), so preparing by
disabling TX creates some hassle if the station answers you. One could
either add the option to disable TX if the station is calling someone else
(not only when you're on their specific frequency) or keep the state
machine and everything run as normal but no TX.
I really like the idea of split frequencies and was thrilled with the
Alt-click version, but IMHO this should be the default behaviour. Alhough
checking/setting a new TX frequency after QSO becomes more important.
This is a more advanced behaviour and should perhaps have separate settings
in the config menu to make it easier to try the different modes of
operation, like: unlocked tx=rx options: no change in TX freq, disable TX
when other station was called, keep state machine running, etc.
