Hi all.

I would like to report a possible new bug in what I call the WSJT-X "autopilot" which can be used for FT-8 mode for automatic QSO reponses, and I will try to provide enough information below so that you can try to reproduce it.

I am using RC2 version of the software.

OK. I was calling CQ on 15 meters FT-8. I am fairly sure that 'Lock Tx=Rx' was not checked, 'Auto Seq.' was checked, and 'Call 1st' was checked.

Following is a small section of text cut from my ALL.TXT file. The QSO that illustrates the problem was with AC6EG and I have highlighted my transmissions in *RED*,
and my QSO partners transmissions in *BLUE*.

*As you can see above, my partner sent me a free text message of "TU BOB GL 73", and the autopilot somehow decided to change his call sign instead to be "BOB" from that message. I will also tell you that the main wsjtx.adi log file ended up having "BOB' as the call sign logged instead of the AC6EG call sign used at the start, as well as a missing Grid among other things.

The net result was that I had to go and manually fix the wsjtx.adi file which I have already done, so I do not have the exact data to share for that - only what I can remember.
I realized that maybe I should report this occurrence to the forum.

Hope this info is enough to re-create the problem.

Love the software and the new FT-8 mode! Thanks, Joe, for creating things that makes this hobby so much more enjoyable!

All the best,

Bob Hensey
