Hi Gil,it is hard to see a justification for using rig memory channels when using WSJT-X CAT control, what use case do you think it would help with?
You should note that almost every rig has a different CAT protocol for memory channels and also that memory channels would be virtually unusable on HF where the recommended CAT control set up is to use the SPLIT mode on the rig to achieve the cleanest Tx signal and widest Rx coverage.
You can set as many working frequencies as you wish in the WSJT-X "Settings->Frequencies->Working Frequencies" table, these work "out of the box" for any rig that has working CAT control, and even for rigs without CAT control if you manually set the rig to the frequency displayed in WSJT-X.
