I'm seeing a fairly consistent failure where jt9 crashes when it's

The crash happens right after decode starts. It's somewhat
intermittent - it seems to always happen in ft8 mode, but also
sometimes in jt9 and jt65+jt9 mode. In general, it crashes on the
first decode right after the wsjtx program is started.
I'm running wsjtx 1.8.0-1.fc27, which is the build currently in the
fedora testing repo. I saw similar symptoms with the rpm from
http://physics.princeton.edu/pulsar/K1JT/wsjtx-1.8.0.x86_64.rpm after
an initial install. However, that problem 'went away' for reasons I
can't explain. Both builds should be from the same source code.
I managed to generate a stack trace from one of the crashes. It's
attached tohttps://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1535987
Does anyone have suggestion on where to look next?

HI Mike,
the stack trace in the dump is not particularly helpful, the offending
line does not look like the cause of the crash.
If you enable "Menu->Save->Save all" and then when it crashes, try
restarting and playing back the .WAV file saved for that period. If that
reproduces the issue, which is likely, please send us the .WAV file and
your WSJT-X.ini file which is located in ~/.config
