Hmmm...potentially a bug in gcc then or Ubuntu.Just found out Doug and I are 
both on 17.10
I'll load an older version VM and see what happens.

Yes. I checked the numbers again just now. There was no change in memory usage 
associated with the jt9 process over more than 12 hours since I checked last 
night.  

Doug and I both see it growing pretty rapidly.  About every 4 minutes.  I'll 
have to check with him about what version of Ubuntu he has.But what gcc version 
do you have?  Ubuntu 17.10 has gcc 7.2


I have gcc5.
