A box that splits to taller/lower goal posts sounds like it might be a pretty
good enhancement. It might be especially nice for those with some color
blindness besides.
And, I think the same color would add very little additional confusion. Shape,
size, animation and contrast are almost always more effective (than color) for
distinction in HI (human interface) display.
