Hi All,
If running in an environment using pulseaudio, wsjtx creates streams
having a name containing the PID. Therefore the name of the stream is
different in every program run. pulseaudio is not able to save the
volume of such streams. If I use the available option named "pulse" in
the Audio Config as device, the program is not more working well,
especially on the output stream. Its blocking without any message. If
I'm then exiting the program using "Quit", the windows are closed but a
process named "wsjtx" remains running.
How can I ensure that the stream volume is retained between program runs ?
Best wishes,

Hi Claude,
we currently have no control over the audio stream names created on
Linux, that is down to Qt. We can't even find what they are called.
I note that Qt 5.9 added a new property to the QAudioOutput class called
category, it claims that on some o/s this allows control of volume
levels by category. I don't know if this applies to pulseaudio but if it
does maybe we can help a bit by using it. Unfortunately we do not yet
support Qt 5.9 as that means dropping supprt forWindows XP and Mac OS X
10.9 I believe.
