Hello All,
This has nothing do with the repo restructuring. Rather, simply cutting down
on redundancy. As with JTSDK-Nix, my wsjtx-next PPA is no longer needed. It
was only used from time-to-time anyway. It won't be a big loss. As GA
Releases are made available, and if the build passes on Launchpad, the
General Availability PPA should be OK.
Both the General Availability and Development PPA's are sitting at the same
level currently. It matters not which is being used (if at all). I've
externally marked the PPA as (obsolete), but will leave it enabled and
published for a time to allow folks to migrate off it properly.
There are many ways to remove a PPA. The recommended method is through the
Software Center, as that solves any issues with dependencies, and source
lists without much user interaction. It's up to the user.
If you are command-line bound, I use a package called ppa-purge. It's easy,
it works, and is nearly hassle free. Package information is located at on
the Ubuntu Package Search Site [1].
