Fake it "should" work on all rigs. There can be some timing issues and RS-232
is not an error free protocol either.But errors like that are usually due to
the baud rate being too fast and/or noise on the RS-232 cable.
What baud rate are you using? Rig split is the preferred setting and should
work just fine.
