Yesterday I installed WSJT-X 2.0.0-rc1 and worked a station in 77-bit
format. Everything worked well. Good work! Thanks a lot!

However, please allow me one request: Please make the new color scheme more
adjustable. As I am also using JTAlert, some information is now redundant.
Have still not found a setting where I am simply getting informed whether or
not I worked a station before. Under the old 5-color-scheme it was quite
simple. But now the screen is full of "new grids", although I don't need
this information, and sometimes it is simply wrong! Got "new grid"
information for stations I've definitely worked before. Also LoTW
information is very often wrong. I've checked 10 stations which are labelled
as "no LoTW" manually via QRZ.com. Result: 8 of 10 are claiming to QSL via
LoTW. Where is WSJT-X getting all this information from?

My proposal: Make all the new information optional. In addition: make a
simple new information "worked before" (e.g. as text color) which should be
independent of any other (new grid, et cetera).

There are reasons why in JTAlert there are pages only for all the alarm
settings, including Alerts Priority. Of course one could implement a "light
version" of that directly in WSJT-X, but then it surely needs to be more
adjustable.

Finally: Is it really a good idea to cut the backwards compatibility to the
old FT8 protocol? I see the good reasons for this decision. But: In practice
it will mean two independent FT8 programs installed on my computer for
surely a long time (or waiting for a third-party software enabling both). I
don't believe that all the existing FT8 users will upgrade their FT8
software in January 2019.
