I believe this is as designed as far as the grid being Tx and displayed.

As far as the QSO entry I believe its a byproduct of the process for
nonstandard and compound callsigns. If you use JT-Alert it will do a
lookup and add the grid as found at QRZ or another online lookup service
prior to sending the data to your logger.
