Good evening Bill,

Thanks for the quick response.

I've previously set all power saving settings to off or none. Thanks for the suggestion to check though.

In addition, V1.9.1, RC2 and RC3 did not have this observed issue with the one-hour timeout ... which is why it surprised me and caught my attention.

An addendum to the no-mouse-movement ... with the watchdog timer disabled and Auto Sequence NOT checked, the no-mouse timer does not disable TX, but with Auto Sequence checked, and watchdog timer disabled, it does.

A suggestion regarding no-mouse timeout; please consider the following:

If Operating Frequency is less than 50.000 MHz, OR CAT is not enabled, then enable mouse timer.

This gives three operating conditions:
1. If you don't run CAT frequency control, you have the mouse timer
2. If you run CAT and you are below 6 meters, you have the mouse timer
3. If you run CAT and you are on 6 meters or above, you do NOT have the mouse timer.

Again, the rational is that on 6 meters and above, ANY signal is a good signal, and most of the VHF/UHF operators are actively seeking contacts.

I can understand the desire to reduce QRM on the HF bands by someone forgetting about leaving TX enabled and walking away. Tying the mouse timer to EnableĀ  VHF/UHFMicrowave features will only encourage operators to check this box and go back to HF, defeating the purpose. If the operator is not running CAT, then you must assume they may not be on VHF/UHF, and thus the mouse timer is activated. ANY operation below 6 meters means the mouse timer is activated ... which I believe is probably the intent of this feature. If you are on 6 meters or above, and you aren't running CAT ... you get the mouse timer as explained above (and yes, I _AM_ encouraging everyone to use CAT for correct frequency reporting).

Again, this is from my 6 meter operating procedures. I realize a large portion of WSJT-X operation is now on HF ... and I think that's a good thing. I just ask you to weigh the VHF/UHF operations in your decision tree with regard to features.

Again, keep up the great work.

73,
Rick

SNIP =======================================================================>
  ... what I get is a 1 hour
timer that drops TX Enable with no notification window.
