Hi Paul,

Welcome to wsjt-devel, and thanks for the suggestion. It would not be very difficult to implement something along these lines. We'll put it on the ToDo list, for when time is available.

Hi,

This my first post here.

Some time ago there was brief discussion in the user forum about
hiding one's own call sign so it doesn't show up in the WSPR
decodes. I just installed RC4 and don't see this option implemented.
Could this be put on the list for consideration please?

Explanation:

My situation is not unique. I use WSPR extensively on 2200 meters
and sometimes 630 meters to study propagation. I use separate
receiver and transmitter which is common on these bands. Decodes of
my own WSPR transmissions (sent from a stand-alone hardware box, the
QRP Labs Ultimate 3S) showing in WSJT-X is a distraction. I would
prefer not to see decodes of myself as it serves no useful purpose
and means I need to scroll back constantly to see what interesting
DX I may have caught.

To make matters worse, I and others often see two decodes of our own
transmissions. 120 Hz sidebands are very common on these bands. Even
when they are down enough to be legal and not a problem to anyone
else, the incredible WSPR decoder decodes them! I usually transmit
on 137437 and see myself decoded on 137437 and 137557 every time.

Having the ability to not display WSPR decodes of one's own call
sign would, in my opinion, be very useful.
