Joe and team,

One issue I also just encountered - while working you Joe actually - was
that I had only spun the dial onto 7080 I hadn't programmed it into the
frequency list. When I started calling CQ it was fine and I worked my first
station with "hold TX Freq" checked plus Call First and AutoSeq checked. At
the end of the first caller cycle I didn't immediately select enable TX to
have another round, however Joe called me while I was trying to sort out the
logging again - so I double clicked on his call in the Band Activity window
and then wondered why he disappeared. After about 90 seconds I glanced over
at my SDR and realised my signal was in the lower cluster of signals -
looked at the rig and realised it had jumped back to 7074.

I can already see there are two blocks of contesters on 40m and so manually
tuning the dial I can see will become more common. It would be good if the
system could be put in a mode where VFO-A (receiver control) can always be
taken from the rig and VFO-B (in split mode) is managed as an offset from
VFO A only. It would be a return to more of the PSK contesting days where
you still tuned the dial to work everyone in your 2-3kHz RX window - then
move on to the next cluster.

Regards,

Grant VK5GR
