These questions are from my most recent use of 1.9.1. If changes have

1. In Settings > Reporting, if I do NOT check "Prompt me to log QSO",
will WSJT skip logging or do it automatically? FWIW, I'd hope it was
the latter since this would remove a minor step in each QSO.
2. I just started using Tab 2 - much nicer than Tab 1! Is it
possible to combine the last 2 steps for CQing and answering CQ to one
step each: "XX0XX AA4M RR73", thereby ending the QSO?
Thanks, Bill - AA4M
Hi Bill,
for (1) it means you have to click the "Log QSO" button yourself. WSJT-X
v2.0.0 does introduce automatic logging for contest and v1.9.1 already
has it for the Fox station in DXpedition mode, but elsewhere you have to
do it since you are the arbiter of QSO completeness, not WSJT-X.
for (2) that is already possible although enabling it is not obvious, go
to Tab 1 and double-click the Tx5 "Now" or "Next" button, you should see
the message change to an RR73 message, you can then go back to Tab 2 (if
you must) the setting should stick. Incidentally you can do the same
with the Tx2 message which disables the sending of Tx1, with both of
those enabled you will actually get faster QSOs as you can skip two
message and so stay on odd or even for your next QSO.
Please note that using RR73 requires some thought, you will get into
trouble if conditions are poor or when working a weak station as sending
RR73 implies you are confident that it will be decoded first time since
your QSO partner may not, and is certainly not obliged to, reply.
